I served as infantry (0311) in the US Marine Corps. I left military service and after many years of study, I became an academic. I love to talk books, music, art, and the teaching life. I hate politics and its divisions.

It looks like you have some interesting reading ahead of you. I'm pleased to see The Piano Shop on the Left Bank on your list. I'm a sucker for novels with any kind of theme related to music. I read it last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be watching for your thoughts on the Gopnik book- I've picked it up a couple of times but haven't purchased it yet.

Of course I had to click on the picture and see all the titles. heh. Can't wait to hear about some of these books as they've been on my TBR list for a while.
