I served as infantry (0311) in the US Marine Corps. I left military service and after many years of study, I became an academic. I love to talk books, music, art, and the teaching life. I hate politics and its divisions.

Congratulations! I really enjoyed your last post about being a writer. Wil Wheaton, of Stand By Me and Star Trek: The Next Generation fame, went through something similar when it came to thinking of himself as a "writer" as opposed to an "actor." Despite that, I'd dare say you're far more well-read than most of the human population I've come in contact with in my short life!
