The Beautiful and Damned: The Story of Ann Prentiss
While watching a re-run of an old 1970s drama titled "Emergency!" on my local "nostalgia television" channel, I came across a beauty of incomparable quality. There was something about her looks that caught my attention, and, while I am unable to pin down with accuracy what exactly that was, my overall assessment is that Ann Prentiss is probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen on television. I'm not in the habit of doing research every time something catches my eye (specially when it comes to television) but the image stuck in my head overnight and I had to give in to it. What I found, unfortunately, was a story of success and sisterly competition, of family secrets and a tragic ending that left me deflated and scratching my head. At any rate, here are some of the pictures I found of Ann Prentiss. She died in prison in 2010 while serving a 19 year sentence for aggravated assault, attempted murder and attempting to hire someone to kill her brother-in-law.

Just enjoyed Ann Prentiss's guest role as a psychologist in an episode of I'M DICKENS, HE'S FENSTER, a superior 1962-63 sitcom. She was charming. How unfortunate that she got herself into so much trouble.

Just now seeing Ann P. in an episode of Bonanza "Aasy Come Easy Goes" (1970), in the role of Meena, strange daughter of the even stranger papa (Dub Taylor). She played this role in three episodes. All on the comic side of Bonanza.
Check her out in Bewitched ("A bum raps" episode). It's staggering. She is utterly beautiful. I've never seen anything like it.
Thanks durant ofsaintpourcain... I will do. She was indeed a beautiful woman. Very sad story.
The Out-of-Towners
I saw her in a show called Starsky & Hutch . I looked up the episodes where she played Joey's mom, 1978, S03 E16 "The Trap" One year later S04 E06 in "90 pounds of Trouble." The latter one she is clearly jaundice & very anorexic. It is so sad the price women paid for fame.
Just saw her in an episode of Courtship of Eddie's Father. She played Eddie's teacher. Very attractive.

Just saw her on Bonanza as Meena (Easy Come, Easy Go). Quite a beauty. What a sad ending to her story.
A very sexy lady; that smooth low voice was singing a siren's call for the dumb struck Johnny Gage on Emergency. Sorry to hear that mental illness ravaged her later in life. Being in her sister's shadow must have proved t be unbearable. I'll always think of Richard Benjamin's wife as the sister of Ann Prentiss.
I just saw her on an episode of get smart from 1967 I can't get her out of my mind I've been looking up everything on the internet about her she was so beautiful God bless her

Watching her right now on....The Virginian.
Just saw her in an episode of Bonanza "Meena" S11/Ep09. I know she died in prison; can't seem to find COD.
Why was she in jail instead of a mental facility? Her sentance should have been served where she could get care for her fragile mental condition.
Does anyone know anything about this?
One of the best comedic exchanges in movie history.
Janlew-- she was abusive and violent, she belnged in prison. If she had lived, she probably would have been moved to a facility. Her mental illness was a mitigating factor in sentencing-- the offences were far more than listed--but she had the mental capacity to participate in her own defence.
